# Sunsets: model retirements, API sunsets and end-of-life dates in data and AI

> 178 scheduled retirements (467 recorded) from 32 vendors (OpenAI, AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud, Apache Software Foundation, Google, MariaDB, CockroachDB, Splunk, Looker, dbt Labs, Tarantool, PostgreSQL, Valkey, ClickHouse, Couchbase Server, Vitess, Redis, Neo4j, Elastic, Alibaba, Oracle, etcd, MongoDB, Heroku Postgres, IBM, Anthropic, DuckDB, Apple, ArangoDB, Memcached, SQLite): models, APIs, products, cloud services and managed versions, each with the retirement date, the announcement date where given, the replacement the vendor recommends and the vendor's page, by fru.dev.

Every row comes from the vendor's own deprecation or lifecycle page (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini API, Google Cloud, Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, AWS services in sunset) or, for managed engine and runtime versions, the endoflife.date API. Every Monday the site reads every page again; every other day it re-reads the pages of anything due within 30 days. A moved date, a changed replacement or an item a page stops listing is recorded as a dated change, never overwritten; changes found by the automatic check are marked unverified until checked by hand. "not_before" dates are the earliest a vendor says a current model could retire, not a schedule. Models link to models.fru.dev where it has a page. Last successful refresh: 2026-09-25 01:32:11 UTC.
